How to fit a SATFI satellite TV dome to a caravan, campervan or motorhome.
SATFI is a UK specific fully automatic dome which provides digital satellite TV & radio (from both standard definition SD & high definition HD broadcasts) throughout UK & Eire. it is dedicated to Astra 2 at 28E and is programmed with the latest transponders from the recent satellite changes - should any further changes occur updating is a simple matter of inserting a USB stick containing the updated settings. Like all satellite TV line of sight is the key to successful operation - the satellite is roughly South-SouthEast at between 18 (North Scotland & NW Eire) and 27 degrees (SE England) above the horizon.
Operation is very straight forward, simply connect your satellite receiver (compatible with Sky, Freesat & Free-to-Air DVB-S & DVB-S2 decoders), switch on and within about 90-sec you can expect to be watching TV, the system will go into a low-power standby or can be turned completely off once satellite dish is locked to save even more power.
