How Does it work?

The installation and set-up of the motorised dish is based on your geographic location relative to the satellite in question. This called your latitude. Fitting a motorised dish will depend principally on location and available line of sight to satellites.

Dishes can be mounted on the wall or ground depending on dish size and line of sight etc. It is advisable to carry out a survey to determine the optimum position for a motorised satellite dish. Once installed receivers will automatically move the dish to the correct satellite after a channel is selected. The satellite receiver tells the motor to turn right or left, and as you approach different satellite signals your receiver will tell the motor to stop on the selected satellite and then you will be able to view the channels on the selected satellite, this is done by the satellite motor moving east or west along the satellite ark.
